I decided to go out and try a run and see how the old hip is holding up, and it seemed to do alright, it was still there but it was more than an annoyance than painful so I went with it... Ran out to the base of Harry's Hill and then headed back to the house, I took a couple of breaks along the way and just enjoyed the beautiful morning. My hip felt okay but its always hard to tell until later in the day so time will tell I guess, my average pace was 8:38 with my HR average at 153 and my total time was 39:11. My pace for most of the run was up beat and then the last mile I slowed down and took it pretty easy. After the run I jumped on the elliptical for 20 minutes and finished with some stretching, so all in all it was a pretty good workout I just hope I can keep it up in the weeks to come. Those of you who know where I live I hope you come by and check out the lights, they look pretty good. I'm still working out some of the bugs but so far so good.

PM- Hip is really sore again, so I am a little disappointed about that I will see how it is doing on Monday and then I will go from there... I can tell that its muscle because I can simulate the pain when I'm stretching and sitting down watching TV, bummer... The way things are looking right now I might be taking the rest of the year off and just start over again in January, pretty frustrated at this point and I can't figure out why I keep having these problems and all the set backs, but I also know I have to keep trying because if I don't I will be one stressed out mess!... I don't know?

Later

Merry Christmas

See ya Monday.

Clay, muscle problem, maybe try a new physical therapist. I have had more luck with a PT than a doctor on those type of problems. Just from my prespective, time off running is not all bad if you can find another workout passion. Hopefully, you enjoy biking, uphill on the bike can give you some killer workouts and keep your running condition.

Stay Kool, Hope for the Best, B of BS Roos out
