I had a real nice even paced run this morning, ran out towards Payson and then headed back to my house all via canal road. My leg and hip felt pretty good going out but then with about a mile to go it started to get a little sore, which seems to be the case most days, but I feel like it is on the mend. I still don't know what to do about tomorrow, I would like to go and give the race a try and just take it easy and see what happens, but I just don't know... I will probably go over later today and get my number and then see how things go tomorrow morning and see how my leg recovers and how it feels. I feel like I could probably complete it and finish all right but I just don't want to have a set back. Average pace was 9:31 with my heart rate average at, 136(better) total time was 48:49...

I also did my standard weight training on the upper body, 2 sets of each exercise with 12 reps in each set.

See ya tomorrow.

Clay you do seem to be on the mend. Tough call on the race tomorrow and whether or not to run, I would err on the side of caution, easy for me to tell you that, if it's me in your shoes I'm so stubborn I would probably run the race and get all beat up. Hope you make the right call.

I'm like Tom, I run the race, but I run it cause I'm a cheap skate and don't want my entry fee to go to waste :) If you still have SGM aspriations and you are hurting tomorrow before the race, I would probably bag it, just my opinion. Especially if you feel like you are on the mend. Although a really slow paced long run might not be a bad test for the injury, as long as you can have the control to keep it slow. Good luck with watever you decide.
