Well, my leg and hip felt okay, so that is a great sign! I had some zip to my legs today, at least more than Saturday anyway but as the run progressed that started to fade... I had a pretty good mile in there at a 8:36 pace and it was working me pretty good too! I know that it is pretty silly but that use to be my recovery pace but today I will make it a Marathon pace mile HEHE! My average pace was 9:03 with my average heart rate at 150, this is way to high for this pace I am hoping that this will come down in the up coming days and weeks a head... I got chicked twice this morning, once by the G-ber girl who I don't mind chicking me but then the other girl who chicked me I usual pass with out much trouble I did push it up the little hill that takes me into Payson and I almost caught her, so Brent would be proud of me!I went out a little fast this morning so on my way back I took it pretty easy as to not over do it. I am scheduled to run the Riverwoods Half Marathon this Saturday and if all goes well this week I will probably give it a try, I will use it as a nice easy long run and just try to have fun and enjoy the company of my fellow bloggers, but I will see how I feel this week and then go from there...

I also did my standard weight training on my upper body, 2 sets of each exercise...

This is good news Clay! Perhaps you are finally over the injury hump and on the downhill road to recovery and being able to run SGM. I hope this indeed the case, hey just take it nice and easy these first few days and listen to the body closely. Maybe I'll be seeing you at the race on Saturday.

Nice run Clay. If you can stay healthy, SGM is definately in the mix for you. Take it easy and don't try to push too hard for the next few days, just log some easy miles and ease back into it.

I was looking at my training log and tomorrow is the one year mark of when we ran together while you were visiting Vegas. The only reason I bring this up is because that was the point that your shins were killing you and my back pretty much took me out of the running scene for a few weeks. From that day, until the first week in September I ran 31 miles. In September I logged 150 and in October I ran a 3:39 at SGM. If you can get back into it and have a couple of solid consistant months you will make it to SGM, good luck.

It's good to see that you are able to run again! I'm sure you will be smart and really listen to your body as you ease back into things! I really hope you are able to do SGM! I know you will really be bummed out if you can't. Thanks for always being so encouraging to the rest of us even when you have been down!
