Today is a sad day for my wife and her family they lost there Grandpa early this morning, he was a grand old man! He was 93 years old and it was hard to see him go, we will miss you Guss Black!

I ran the Payson Park loop, extended with the hills and I was having a hard time. My back was bothering me along with my left hip and then I was having stomach issues as well towards the end of the run! I barely made it home. I am not worried about my back because it comes and goes, but I am concerned about my hip. I can't figure it out, it feels like its a muscle problem, just from the standpoint that it didn't get any worse during the run and after a mile or so it loosened up and then it seemed to do fine. My average pace was 8:44 with my heart rate at 141, total time was 1:10:25, my legs were pretty dead for the start and I was disappointed with that considering that I had a reduced mileage week last week. I wish my legs would cooperate, oh well I am hoping for a better run tomorrow...

See you tomorrow.

My sympathies to you, your wife and your family. It doesn't matter how old a grandpa is when he passes away, it is still a big hole that gets left in our hearts! It sounds like that hole will be filled with wonderful memories and great examples from him! Bless you all!

Sorry to hear about your wife's Grandpa. Not too many make it to 93, sounds like he was a great man.

I've noticed sometimes the Monday legs aren't quite as zippy as it seems like they should be. Hope the back and hip feel better tomorrow.
