I was really kinda disappointed with this race. I felt like I was in better shape than this, like 3:40ish type shape! But the wind was pretty brutal today and it took its toll on me. I also lost reception on my watch going through the tunnel so it was really frustrating after that! The first 9 miles I felt really good and I tried to keep the pace around 8:00 minute miles as planned but then I hit the wind and it was just frustrating! I stayed with it through the half way point but then I starting to really lose it after that, the wind just beat me to high heaven today. So I am not giving any splits as its to embarrassing, and stupid, so I will count this as a nice long run and call it good. I'll be taking a few days off to recover and then get ready for the training for the SGM in October and I am hoping for a better time there, hopefully!

Later.

Stupid wind today was awful!!! Sorry you had to endure it! St George will be better---much!!! Enjoy your rest!

Clay I think this race was better than you think. Take out that wind and I think you're very close to that 3:40 with this effort. You'll do GREAT at SGM!

It was a tough one for sure. I had to comment because we almost wrote the same comments. :) Better luck in St. George!

Brutal wind. 'nuff said. You finished, and will definitely see a big improvement at your next one.

The conditions were too crappy Clay. You can not overpower bad conditions over the course of 26.2 miles... just too long and too hard. You ran the effort of something around 3:40. Let's just hope, pray and beg for good conditions at STG.

Clay, goog effort on a bad day, keep up the good training. Flipping wind anyway, I have had a recent experience with wind, know what you feel bro.

Stay Kool, B of BS Rools out

Hey, a good effort in bad conditions says something about grit, you could have just packed it in, you kept after it.
