I ran with my Brother Curtis this morning and it was pretty fun, he took me up over Harry's hill and over by the stake center and then back out to GU corner. After a pit stop we headed up around the Golf Course and back to GU corner, and then I ran about a half of mile back up powerhouse road with him and then I turned and headed for home. The first couple of miles I was booking it cause I thought I had missed him but them I saw a lone light coming my way and it happened to be him. My legs seemed to do better towards the end I was able to crank out some MP miles even though my legs were tired they seemed to respond pretty good, so I think that is a good sign;-)    My MP miles were as follows, 8:10(154), 8:05(150), 8:15(148),8:31(147), and 8:26(146) three of these miles were done towards the end of my run and my legs seemed to feel better as those last miles went on so that was cool too. I did take some breaks along the way to take GU and get a drink and that is luxury that I won't have in the Marathon so my legs may get whacked out sooner, but I will have to see. My average pace was 9:05 with my heart rate average at 137, that was very good, total time was 3:02:03. I will start to take it easy these next weeks leading up to the marathon, I wouldn't call it a taper but I will not be doing to many hard runs, I just want to take it easy and ease into the race! I was able to talk to Tom towards the end of my run, he was trying to find Kim, I hope he found her all right. I'm sure he did:-)

Well thats it for this week, see ya on Monday!

Nice workout Clay. What is your marathon time plan? There a guy here in town that is on the blog. Scott Hughes. Who is shooting for just under 4 hrs. It may be good for him to jump on with you guys during the marathon.

Anyways good job!

I am so happy you felt good and had a great 20 miler. It's great you'll at least be able to run and enjoy the marathon.

Clay, glad to see your will be running St.George this year. Nice long run with hills mixed. The avg. heart rate 137, it seems like a good sign for St.George, running a good pace at that HR.

Great run Clay and nice to talk to you for a bit. I think you may just surprise yourself at SGM.
