50 minutes on the old elliptical, 40 minutes real hard and then a 10 minute cool down followed by some strength training on my legs, and then I finished up with some stretching. My average heart rate was 131 with it getting as high as 155, my legs felt a little tired today but that's good that means it is having some effect on me! Man I wish I could get healthy! I really want to do SG! My brother-in-law is coming into town today so why he is here we are going to try some E-stem on the injured area and maybe a massage to help it along, but I have pretty much lost all faith in it healing anytime soon but I also know that life will go on and I will get better, yada, yada, yada...

See ya tomorrow.

What is E-stem? Whatever it is, I hope it works. Still plenty of time before St. George, just keep up the cross training and you still have a great shot. Don't throw in the towel just yet.

Jeff, E-stem is when they hook you to a machine that sends little electrodes into the muscle to help repair it, my brother-in-law is a PT and he uses it a lot so I am hoping it will work for me.

At this point I am getting desperate and I will try anything, well most anything...

Have you heard of HGH? :) I'm sure Roger Clemens could refer you to a good source to get some.....

Ya I bet he could! Was he ever injured? I don't think so!!! I wonder if that had anything to do with all the juice flowing through his veins!

Clay, The E-stim combined with ultrasound is how I got through injuries in college. I had (have) issues with my right knee/IT. When you say leg/hip are you having problems in the outside (IT area)? The other thing that really helps me get through injuries in that area is I got a heated blanket that I put on the area for about 10-15 minutes prior to my run and then after the run I have dixie cups in the freezer that I use to give isolated ice massages to. I hope you get through this injury in time for Oct 4th... Hopefully with enough steam to break your '06 time and get under 4hrs! Keep up the cross training and the fitness will be there when it is time to run again.
