I love onions.

From Merri on Tue, Aug 24, 2010 at 11:38:07 from 160.7.252.148

Ogres have layers. Onions have layers. You get it? We both have layers.

From Lily on Tue, Aug 24, 2010 at 11:43:13 from 67.199.181.73

I got your layer

From Burt on Tue, Aug 24, 2010 at 12:09:29 from 206.19.214.144

Whatev, Merri. I noticed on Sunday that you don't look any different than before you got pg. Way to go!! What is the distance of Onion days?

From Merri on Tue, Aug 24, 2010 at 17:25:21 from 160.7.252.148

Thanks, Julie. The onion days has a 5k and 10k I think. Are you still thinking about the midnight half?

From Julie on Wed, Aug 25, 2010 at 10:42:06 from 67.199.162.82

I think I will do the 10k on Labor day. I haven't ever tried one before. I decided I am not going to do the half this weekend. I am not a huge fan of being out late. I am not a night person.

From Lily on Wed, Aug 25, 2010 at 10:47:34 from 67.199.181.73

I'm doing onion days as well. hmmmm 10k or 5k?

From Burt on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 at 12:21:12 from 206.19.214.144

Hey onion girl. Where are you?

From Merri on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 at 17:03:48 from 160.7.252.148

Oh Burt I'm here, just having a hard time fitting running in w/ my baby. How do you do it Julie? I am way tired in the morning, so I go when Wes gets home from work, but then I feel like I'm gone all night and miss dinner with the fam or I eat dinner with the fam and have to go way late at night. It's a vicious cycle. :)

Lily did you decide which one to run? the 5 or 10k? I say go with the one you think you can take 1st place in and come home w/ some sweet goods.

From Julie on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 12:17:43 from 67.199.162.82

Merri, does your baby sleep through the night? Mine does and has since he was 2 months old so that makes it easier for me to get up. Hang in there, it will get easier to sleep soon.

When I am going to go at night, I make dinner for my fam, then sit with them while they eat and visit, but I don't eat so I can run right after without getting too full. Then I eat my dinner later when I am back home. Just a suggestion....

When you go at night, text or call me, I want to go. I like night runs, but don't want to go alone.

From Merri on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 12:40:04 from 160.7.252.148

no he doesn't sleep all the way though the night yet. :( But yeah I'll call you when I go at night.

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 12:59:23 from 66.239.250.209

Burt you love onions? You really opened yourself up on that one, but I'll give you a pass this time.

It seems like all of the cool kids are running Onion Days. Hmmmm

From Burt on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 15:10:44 from 68.225.214.248

Wow Julie. You must be supermom!

Scott - what? I should marry them?

From RAD on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 17:58:39 from 67.172.229.125

Merri, I think you should come to Onion Days if for nothing else than the fun! :)

I hear ya on the baby thing. SGM is the only thing motivating me most days to get up and out. I always think "I can take a nap" but then the nap never happens, or I only get 20 minutes *sigh* I'm honestly really glad I got into SGM and that I have a goal to train for or I'd still just be running 3 miles every other day :)

My baby doesn't sleep through the night yet either :( it is hard to get up, but thankfully I have an awesome hubby that doesn't complain (too much) about being in 1/2 sleep land for the hour or so I'm gone getting the miles in. I usually come home to hubby getting ready for work and baby in the bouncer happy as a lark. Someday soon I hope he sleeps through the night, but it seems to be getting worse, not better.

I still think you should come to Onion days! It truly is a fun party...you know you wanna...everyone's doing it...

From Lily on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 18:25:37 from 67.199.181.73

I and Julie are in on the Onion days 10k. Woohooo. Merri you really should join. I'll come pick you up :)

RAD you going to Marion's?

From Merri on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 18:33:31 from 160.7.252.148

Rachel do you wake your baby up and feed him before you go, or do you wait for him to wake up, feed him, then go? Or do you just have your husband feed him if he wakes up while you're gone? My problem is that he will either wake up at 4:30 and eat, but then I'm not running by myself at 5. Or he'll wake up at 7 and then I don't have time to run before my husband has to leave. So should I just wake him up at 6?

From RAD on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 21:56:40 from 67.172.229.125

Lily, of course! That is where the party is :) (and all the yummy food!)

Merri, I guess I've been kind of lucky with that. He usually will get up at 2:30 to eat (which then he will be restless and feeding him at 5:30 ish before I get up to get ready and leave isn't a problem) or he waits until 4:30-5:30 to eat, in which case either is fine because he goes 3 hours between feedings and if Dad has to deal with a little crying and grumpiness 7-7:30 while he sits in the bouncer as he showers I let him deal with it (I have to do the same thing getting ready most mornings - COPE!). So, I guess the timing so far has worked out okay. I used to do long runs whenever he would get up. I'd just wait until he woke up, as my alarm clock, then feed him (pump an extra to leave with dad just in case) and then head out. Now I simply try to time it so that it works out right, which so far life has been kind to me.

From Merri on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 22:31:07 from 160.7.252.148

Ah that is nice. :) I think i'm just going to stop making excuses adn get out in the morning and run no matter what. :) I didn't know you were doing the SGM, good luck!

From Lily on Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 22:32:24 from 67.199.181.73

You are welcome to come with me anytime....I am up early as can be-you know this!

From Merri on Thu, Sep 02, 2010 at 00:29:12 from 160.7.252.148

But Lilster you're too fast for me right now. :) I'm at a 9mm and you're like a 7 mm. You'd be 2 miles ahead of me at the end of our run :)
