50 Mile Bike Ride - About 17-17.5 Avg. Speed.

I started at 12:30 and it was hot until about mile 35 when a wind storm blew in and sandblasted me with blowing sand, then it rained a little so the road was wet. I was sliding all over the road so I had to slow way down.

John 3:8

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Standard Morning ride. I was a little tired from the 50 miler yesterday but it seemed a little cooler this morning (I'm not sure what the temperature was, I didn't check the weather).

Rode with the cycling group and Sarah today. We rode 10 miles easy and then I decided to run 1 mile to see how my side/hip was feeling. I should not have run. It felt okay during the run but last night it started hurting and continues today. Strange, it feels like a strained ligiment.

The good news is the pain went away in just one day. I may try and run another mile next Tuesday but not before.

Biking is going good, I did an evening ride and it was HOT 100 degrees.

Luke 12:6-7

This 29.5 mile morning is getting to be a standard. I really wasn't excited about riding this morning since I rode yesterday evening but I pushed myself out the door. I didn't feel like I was riding any faster than my previous rides but at the halfway point I realized I was quite a bit faster than my previous fastest half. I decided to go ahead and push it in and see how much I could improve. I ended up .7 faster than I have ever ridden this route before. I think I'm getting stronger.

Judges 16:28

35 Miles with the San Marcos Cycling Group then another 10 by myself.

The group rides at different paces and takes a few breaks throughout the ride. I think I averaged about 18-19 mph overall.
