7 Mile Run - 7:45 pace. My hip felt fine as I started but got a little sore halfway through the run. Then, throughout the day, it got more and more sore until I went to bed. This morning (Monday) it felt a little better, but not good enough to run.

Today was a PERFECT day to run...but I couldn't run :-(

59 degrees, 30% humidity, calm, clear .... WOW...!!!

The problem is my hip is still hurting. After my run on Sunday I could hardly walk without limping. It's really weird becaues it feels like what a hip flexor sould feel like (even though I've never had a hip flexor). The pain is actually on the outside and top part of my hip bone. It doesn't hurt to raise my leg it hurts when I put weight on it.

This morning I biked, since biking doesn't hurt my hip at all. 59 degrees and 30% humidity is too cold to bike though. When I was finished with the 29.5 mile ride my feet had turned completly white and felt like stumps. This Raynaud's Disease is the pits!

Cycled 40 miles with San Marcos Cycling Friends. There was a group of about 12 riders today. All were strong so we averaged 19 mph over the 40 miles. This includes about 4 miles fairly slow (in town) with a lot of lights, turns and traffic.

2 Mile Run - Pain Free ... !!!

This is the first run in 9 weeks that I did not have a pain when running. Now that I'm finished I can only feel a slight twinge in my hip. I hope  this is the end of the pain and the beginning of the running!

It was even a decient pace at 7:00 miles :-)

2 more miles pain free! After my 2 mile run on Monday my hip started to hurt a little but not nearly as bad as it had before. Right now, a couple of hours after this run, it feels pretty good.

I was concerned about my fitness, thinking that these 2 miles runs were too hard, but after looking back at some similar runs I realized that I'm not that far off what I was running before. For some reason I was thinking a 7:00 pace was supposed to be easy for me :-)

Biked today although I believe I could have run. My hip feel pretty good after 3 short runs this week. I was not really excited about biking this morning as it was 63 degrees (cold for me). I just couldn't seem to push myself much.

I'm leaving tomorrow for a business trip to Germany for five days so I won't be logging any miles unless I can get on a TM a couple of days.

I'm writing this entry on Monday but have to outline the entire weekend to try and make some sense out of it all. I biked Saturday for about 30 miles to start the weekend. I haven't biked in several days and the ride was tough. I strated out at a good pace but felt like I bonked on the second half. Sunday I decided to run 7 miles to test my legs on a little longer run. My legs were a little tired from the biking the day before, but nothing that would noramlly bother me. My run on Sunday (this one) started out okay, but 3-4 miles into the run I started feeling like I had already run 15 miles. I would noramlly just chalk this up to not running (or even biking) much lately but now (Monday) I go out and run 4 miles like there's nothing to running a 7 minute mile. I was worn out all day Sunday, like I'd run 20 miles and now I feel great! I just hope this is the sign that my running fitness is now back :-)
