So it will be in that day, that his burden will be removed from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be broken because of fatness.

Yasir,
Everything is good. I just decided to hit "reset" and give my body a break for a while. The only problem I've had is a nagging foot issue for the last 2-3 months. It hasn't kept me from running but it's not been getting any better. I'm hoping this rest will fix it. Thanks for checking on me!

IJR, good to see you taking a break for a little while. It will do your body good! Just a warning, though, to not take too long of a break. It can be very hard to come back, especially for runners older than 35. At least you are staying active on the bike and weights, and probably the horse, too. Enjoy the well-earned rest!

DL,
Thanks for the advice. I am trying to resolve this foot issue I have. I believe it is called "2nd Metatarsal Overload Syndrome". Everything I read points to that. I am doing some research to figure out what might help heal it. I think I may need some orthotics and/or different shoes. My shoes may be too flexible. I'm going to try and make my own orthotics from some old insoles I have and also may go friday to a running store that has a large selection of orthotics. As I mentioned before, I can run and this has been an irritation for quite some time, but I want to see if I can get it healed.

The pain is on the top of your foot?

No on the bottom. I've got a pretty big callus on the ball of my foot right under my 2nd toe.
