TM today cause it's raining super hard!  I did a preset 20 min. fartlek which was 1.7 miles.  Never done that before and I assume a tm fartlek is similar to doing that on a track?  Finished up with 2 mi of hills.  Nice!

Was it a steady fast run of 1.7 miles or did it speed up then slow down? That's my understanding of fartlek. Run fast as long as you feel like it then slow down then run fast again. A preset one would be similar?

It sped up and slowed down. Every 1 - 2 minutes it changed speed, so it kept you at 4.9, then went up to 7.0, back to 4.9

Cool! The treadmills at the Y don't have that option. Sounds like a good workout.

Um, I think a fartlek is the same whether on the track or treadmill. Never mind. I was going to make a poo joke, but then the urge strangely went away.

There's a difference in fartlek if the treadmill is at home or at the gym. I never fartlek when I'm at the gym and there are strangers around me. I did that once on accident. Very embarrassing.

You guys are too funny!!! Women never fartlek!!!
