| | Today was my first day back running since I was sick... Boy was it a tough run... I started with a half mile warm up, at a 6:45 pace, it didn't feel that fast at all.... But then we did the 10x1 minute on one minute off fartlek workout on the University of Utah track. Great weather, suns out, shirts off. I started out with the second fastest guy Jake, but I kept gaining ground on him on the recovery so I just decided to keep going because I felt fine. I got 2.5 miles done in the workout, the same as I usually do when I am not sick so I didn't loose much fitness. Then I cooled down a mile running around campus.

| | This morning after my morning class, I have two hours until my next class. I walked up to the locker room, changed then went on a run. I went up to shoreline trail, over to red butte, down to presidents circle around to greek row, up until university street or whatever it is called, then back onto shoreline and finished out till 4 miles. Ran back to the locker rooms to finish out at 4.
Tonight, I ran with Tim, Larry, and Andrea at Sugarhouse Park. I did a lap around the park with Larry then ran around the park until at 7 miles. I forgot how much fun it is to run with Tim. I averaged 7:34 so my pace is coming back...

| | AM: At my fitness class, we had a sub. We walked from HPER up the the University of Utah track for another track workout this week. We did a short jog as a warm up, drills, then she made us do two hills by the track.... Weird warm up. Then we heard the workout was 3x1 mile repeats. I was nervous I wasn't able to hit my times because I havn't ran hard for a while and am still feeling really sick. We started fine and my times were suposed to be 6:30. My first one was 6:29, then we took 2 minutes recovery and started again. The other guys in the class started before me so I got to chase them down. We did the second mile going the opposite way on the track. My time was 6:07. I felt fine. I told her I shouldn't do the last one because of my speed workout tonight, so I just jogged around to finish at 3 miles. About 3 laps cooldown. Good, productive workout.

| | 3 miles of running on the treadmill then 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the bike. I am counting it as 3 miles. Slow easy running on the treadmill.

| | I went down to Sugarhouse Park and did a mile warm up,...... well after I locked my keys in the car and made it a quarter mile and realized it and sptrinted back to my car, able to reach through the window and unlock the car and got my keys. Then I did a mile warm up. Went up to the Highland Track, did an 800 in 3:02, wanted to be under 3 but my first lap was way to slow, like 100 seconds or something so I had to haul it and almost hit my pace. Then I did an 800 recovery, then put on my weights, and did an 800 with those then cooled down a mile and a half. Was going to do more either on the track or with the weights but my legs were absolutely exhausted.
