I ran the Murray 5K with 7 other people from our WBR team.  We all wore our Slacker shirts which made it easy to spot each other.  I was hoping to do the race in 18:30 but I didn't quit pull it out.  I haven't been doing enough speed work to get myself mentally prepared for 3 miles of pain or I just don't care as much about pushing as I did in my younger age.

The race was nice.  It had an out and back part and then ran around the park to the finish line.  Mile one was a little up hill and I hit it in 6:00.  Mile two came back down the hill but finished with a little hill which I got in 5:57.  Mile 3 was about even in total elevation with a few small rolling hills which I ran in 6:06.  I pushed the last 0.12 miles in 5:00 average.  I liked the simple course but I need to do more training for a 5K if I want to do get my time down.

Taunia got a 26:45 along with Abbi.  Matt got a 21:01, Sue got a PR of about a minute with a 25:13 and her husband John beat her by about 45 seconds.  This was April's first race ever  and she was only about 5-10 seconds behind Taunia and Abbi.  Julie got a PR of almost 2 minutes with a 31:17

Congratulations, Terry. You are running really well. I run as fast as you sometimes, but then I wake up and go out and run at my considerably slower pace.
