This was a hot, hot, hot race this morning. Temperature at start time was 75°. My running coach advised me to run a 9:30 pace so I knew that I would not be attempting a PR. Except for the final mile, I was happy with my results. I need to figure out how to run a course tight so I am not running extra mileage.
These were my splits according to my Garmin:
- 2 mi - 9:04 / 4 mi - 8:56 / 6 mi - 8:59 / 8 mi - 9:15 / 10 mi - 9:38 / 12 mi - 9:30 / 13:38 mi - 9:50
I am still awaiting for the official race results for my time and overall place.
