- I've been contemplating whether to track my mileage. In summary, tracking keeps me mindful of my forward progress and keeps me motivated when I hit a roadblock.
- Yesterday, I filled out retirement paperwork with the state of Indiana. I have 20 years in the state of Indiana. The other 10 years were in the states of Colorado, California, and New York. My favorite teaching assignment was in the state of New York.

- I unintentionally took the past week off. I just couldn't muster the energy to workout. I'm not sure why, but each night when I went to bed I planned to run. When morning came I just did not have the yearning to do it, so I didn't.
- Perhaps my body needed the rest. I rarely give it rest so it was most likely needed.
- I joined the Fit On app. I've been looking for a FREE app that offered a variety of short workouts, 20 minutes or less. I like the iFIT app, but the workouts are so much longer. I am hoping to get back to overall fitness.

| Disney Princess Half-marathon Challenge Weekend
- I ran these 3 distances - 5K, 10K & Half-marathon - with my adult son. The weather was perfect for me, but too hot for him (mid 70's). My son did about as little training as conceivably possible for these so-called races, but is by far the most consistent pace runner ever. He ran every distance at about an 11 minute mile. Slow and steady didn't win the race, but it got the job done. We had great conversations along the courses, met really fun people, and brought home some good-looking medals and t-shirts! The best part for me was taking three days off of work. I NEVER miss work so that was a real treat!
