Personal:

Started running in November 2007 to get fit. Now I'm back almost to square one after back surgery. I did it once and I'll do it again.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners. They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares. And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better."  Running for His Life by Michael Hall.

830PM: Easy recovery run on the TM. Legs were really heavy and sore today.  I needed an easy day.  Haven't been getting very good rest lately.  Hopefully, that will change w/ the family headed to my mother-in-laws til Sunday.

Hey, I just got my travel plans for the week before Robie. If flights work out, I should be flying home on Friday evening. We'll need to make a plan for carpooling for the race.

Well, my wife is going to park at Spring Shores and be at the finish so if you can pick me up that morning then we can get you, and whomever is waiting for you at the finish, from the finish back to your car at the start. We can park in the underground parking at my office on Washington St., about 2 blocks from the starting line at Ft. Boise Park.

My wife can drop us off at the starting line. If you can give me a ride home, that would be great.

That'll probably work. I may ride to the start w/ another friend of mine. Not sure yet. In that case we could all just go together and your wife won't need to drop us off and my wife can get us all home. I'll finalize w/ him in the next few days and let you know.
