Not much exciting to blog about lately but I am finally off crutches!  I tried the elliptical this morning; felt pretty good.  I also lifted weights and swam for a bit.  After I got out of the pool I lifted my arm up and my shoulder came out of socket.  Sometimes that happens if my shoulder muscle fatigues.  It sounded a little crunchy when it went out and is a little more sore this evening than usual.  It got me thinking that maybe I should go ahead and get the shoulder repair surgery now that I've already met my insurance deductible for the year.  Then I thought about surgery and I wanted to puke.  I think I'd rather continue dislocating my shoulder every month for ten years before submitting myself to surgery and annoying recovery time again.

Maybe rehabbing both injuries at the same time would be advantageous.

Sorry Nan.

Wow. Neither option sounds very appealing. Glad you are off crutches! How soon until you get to run?

I'm so glad you're off the crutches! Sorry about your shoulder. I'm impressed that it never seems to phase you. I probably would have fainted just at the sight of it hanging there.

Kam-Yeah my physical therapist said the same thing especially now that I'm off crutches and don't need my arm.

Burt-Thanks. Sorry about your back...hope its feeling better.

April-I should be able to run in another month or so.

Melody-Trust me, it definitely phases me. Every time it happens I consider the surgery in my mind with a hope that I could avoid future painful occurrences. I'm just not willing to get surgery right now when I'm already feeling so out of shape and sluggish. Right now I need to get back into shape again more than I need my shoulder to work perfectly.
