Busy vacation day so, no running.

Got up early and headed out the Clearwater Beach to see Winter the No-Tailed Dolphin. Spent a ridiculous amount of money there which made me sad because I remember the place before it was a tourist trap.

Then had lucch at Frenchy's on Clearwater Beach. It was $4.95 burger Monday so that was good.

Then we spent a couple hours swimming at Clearwater Beach. Abby and Andy had tons of fun and got a little sun burned.

Went for a long family walk around Dunedin in the afternoon. Walked out onto the new pier and watched some guys fish. Then we ended up at Tony's Pizza in downtown Dunedin for dinner. Met my mom there and she drove the kids home while Ann and I walked home via Flanagans Irish Pub.

Back at moms house having a Winter the Dolphin film festival.

AM: Stuck at Tampa International for a two hour flight delay. Looks like about 200 departing flights this morning and only one delay on the board - our Frontier flight to Denver.

First run of 2015 was short, easy, and uneventful. Also about 60 degrees colder than my last run of 2014. I felt good though. Ran a little bit with Andy who wants to run the SLTC 5K at the end of the month.

Observation. I ran the first couple miles of my run today in a pair of Saucony Ride 6's. I thought my toes were frostbitten they were so cold. Went home and changed into a pair of Asics Gel Cumulus and my toes were warm and toasty the rest of the way. I was looking at the upper in the forefoot of my Saucony's and there's basically nothing there. Very ventillated!

I was wondering if they make winter and summer versions?

I'm happy with the results of both football games last night.

12.5 miles in about 1:30 with a pretty fast group including Jake, Fritz, and Kevin. Lots of uphills through the U and Research Park. I'm not wiped out or anything, but I'm definitely tired. Need to think about how to get more consistency in my training.

A few more of these runs and I might be able to compete in the SLTC Winter Series races without embarassing myself.

Out to brunch now with Ann, Andy, and the running crew.
