I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

AM: 6.5 miles around the school/track while Andy was at wrestling practice followed my a bunch of 1 minute sprints on the spin cycle after.

AM: 2 miles on the roads of Sandy. I was going to run 4 but the nature of the snow and slush on the roads and the lack of a safe shoulder to run on because the snow was piled up there made running unpleasant.

Strenuous weight workout after in the Alta weight room.

PM: 3 miles easy.

AM: 30 minutes of snow shoveling...

Later AM: 5 miles around Sandy then some lifting in the Alta weight room. Thus concludes 2021 running-wise.

2,468 miles for the year which is about 50 short of last year mostly due to last year being one day longer and running many more races this year. Races cut down my mileage due to easy days before and after. I'm going to try to keep things around 2,500 miles/year as long as I can. It seems sustainable for now.
