I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

Back at it today. I donated blood yesterday and it kicked by butt more than usual. Went for a long walk with Ann in the evening, but that was it for the day.

Today was ACT day at school so I didn't have to do any teaching - just adminstered the test.

Noon: Weights in the Alta weight room.

PM: 6.5 miles in the Dimple Dell gully. Short swim and hot tub soak afterwards.

The United States government fessed up to killing lots of children at a school in Iran today.

PM: 9 eliptical miles.

I completed my airport security training and am officially a USO volunteer. I will be working 4-8 hours a week at the Salt Lake airport USO.

Thankful that Andy has several more months to go of training before he can be useful to the Marine Corps. Maybe this mess can be wrapped up by then? Of course we'll probably be on to Cuba by then.

Regestered for a week long professional development course on the Civil War this summer at Gettysburg College. So, something to get excited about!
