I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run
Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.
Personal:
I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

4 easy miles.
AM: I did a 60 minute treadmill workout today and had a sad realization - I will never be as fast as I was when I was 50.
I'm gonna keep plodding though.
AM: 7.5 miles in the Dimple Dell gully. It was cold.
AM: 9.5 miles on the treaadmill including 9 X 1/4 mile at 6 minute pace.
Surpassed 2,500 miles for the year.
AM: 4 miles on the bike, rope jumping, weights.
AM: 10 miles on the Pipeline Trail. Very runnable. Mostly packed snow with some dirt stretches. It was glorious!
AM: 14.5 miles on the stationary bike after a 1 mile warm-up. Weights/strength training.
PM: walked 2 miles/jogged 2 miles listening to An Army at Dawn.
