Walked a hard three miles this morning - about as fast as Stonewall Jackson drove his corps of the Army of Northern Virginia in pursuit of Hooker at the battle of Chancellorsville.

Quit trying to sneakily educate us about history!
Speaking of Virginia, Alan Webb won the Chik-Fil-A 5K over the weekend. Now THAT is a relevant piece of information.

So what was Stonewall's pace? I have no concept for how fast soldiers moved.
I wonder if Chick-Fil-A provided chicken sandwiches at the aid stations or only at the finish.

Jackson's army was able to march up to 4 mph for up to forty miles on meager rations of "hardtack and parched corn". Most of them barefoot - of course these days we know that that is actually an advantage.
Jackson was also quite the staunch Presbyterian and would have opposed gay marriage. He would have been totally down withChick-Fil-A

So are you still frequenting the Chick-Fil-A in Sugar House? They picked the wrong neighborhood for that restaurant.

Yep... my kids love the place. It's a regular Saturday morning stop for us.

I am finishing reading "Gods and Generals" right now...about this very same battle!
