Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

Fun! Pretty sure I could break 6 if I devoted myself to running and just did a few simple things like striders.
I might resolve to do fast striders a couple times a week anyway. I think it's good for you.

Thanks Tom. 50% of it is just showing up though as there's often just two or three guys in the 60-64 age group. I'll take it though...as we get older I think just showing up is the important thing.
I second that it's about showing up. Consistency trumps talent and even trumps sporadic hard work. I'm the guy who said hi to you by your car at the end of the race. Hope to see you around.

Very solid, Rob. I used to do strides pretty religiously, and it is one of the things I am trying to make sure to do a few times a week (I have been skipping them for years now). They aren't hard and you get to run fast, so why do we skip them?
