I finished reading Ronald White's biography of President Grant and it was an excellent correction to the historical violence to Grant's reputation, both as  general and president, perpetrated by Dunning School historians for over a century. Grant was a great general and a good president.

I have a book about Grant by William S. Mcfeely that I have started to read. It was a thrift store find. A Pulitzer Prize winner, so hopefully it will be accurate.
