AM: Three easy miles of walking around Sugarhouse Park at XC practice. Had a really good group of kids today. I feel lucky to be their coach.

PM: Went to the gym for a workout on the stair master.

1. Easy warm-up - 25 floors

2. Stretching

3. 459 floors in 60 minutes. Kept the machine between level 9 and 11 most of the time but jacked it up to 14 for a few minutes at the end.

Machine said that was 10 miles total. Pretty fair job channeling my inner Fritz. Although I think Fritz does close  to 600 floors in an hour. It was hard though.

I'm heading to Santa Fe tomorrow morning for a week studying the history of the Indian tribes of the Southwest. Will give me three hours of graduate credit from Adams State College in Colorado. Pretty packed schedule everyday so the running might be hit or miss.

nice work on the stairs. isn't it fun? I haven't been doing it as much lately but when I really get into good stairmaster shape I don't touch the bars.

Have a great time in Santa Fe!

I liked the "channeling my inner Fritz" comment. Every time I jump on a machine at the gym, I think of a few of you really insane people that will do as much on a stair master as I do outside on the roads. Wicked crazy! Nice work out!

Santa Fe trip sounds really interesting. Relax and work out those creaks.
