I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

Managed to get my favorite run in one more time. Met my varsity girls team up at Alta Ski Area after school. As usual, ran up the Summer road to Albion Basin and around the campground seven times.

Ran the first 9 miles in 1:14:35 (8:17 pace)

Mile 10 - 6:17

Mile 11 - 6:37

11.25 miles in 1:29:18

I really appreciate this run at this time of year. The snow can fly at any time burying my favorite run in 500 inches of powder until June.

That's sounds very cool Rob. What is the altitude at your highest point in the run? Would love to try that sometime.

The run starts out at 8500 ft. and goes up to about 10,000 ft. over a 3.5 mile climb. The campground loop is .6 miles around and is half uphill and half downhill.

So it works out like this...

3.5 miles uphill, 4.2 miles rolling, 3.5 miles downhill. All on trail/dirt road.

Even though I do most of my runs at about 5000 feet, I really feel the difference up there.
