No! But how 'bout one or two of them color/splatter runs?! Please, please, pretty please?

Unless it is with a weight vest...

If you can't beat 'em, do something else. I am trying to make belching the alphabet a professional sport. I am thinking I could be world class.

yeah dugco is right, its all about color runs these days. That's the future of the sport.

Hey Rob. How have you been, I have been good. I have just went MIA for a few and am back now. I just needed to get over a few things with some people on the blog that just got me P.O. (no one I even know but over it now) Are you running Ogden I'm two weeks?
From Rob Murphy on Thu, May 02, 2013 at 17:15:15 from 24.10.249.165
Good to hear from you Marlin. I'm not running Ogden. I am doing the Utah Valley Half in June and the Deseret News Marathon in July.

How about the sub 2 hour blog?

Someone with a vinyl pig on their rear window somewhere will be offended, somehow.

Why all the vitriol?
I thought you Utah folks were all "good" God fearing souls of some brand or other and that you loved everybody - except me of course - and that's cool:)
Although I don't understand what's triggered the antipathy towards the much maligned sport of mud-running, perhaps it would do you some good to show a bit of grace and good manners. It could be argued - quite strongly in certain quarters - that mud racing is more legit than downhill racing - Ok I'm outta here...:)

Just a weak stab at humor on my part Bam. I welcome all mud runners, I used to run obstacle courses in elementary school and in the Army all the time and rather liked it.
Besides, it looks like Hobie doesn't intend to actually post his workouts here anyway. Too bad. The man has managed to achieve an incredible level of fitness and I was looking for some tips.
From Bam on Fri, May 03, 2013 at 06:41:46 from 89.126.28.24
Ah, I get it now - I've noticed I'm missing the point recently; must be the old senescence (thanks for that word Neasts) thingymajig.
What was I talking about? Where's the kitchen? Who said I was in the army?
I was going to mention something about mud-wrestling but on second thoughts, maybe I should just disappear... :)

I don't get credit for being the only one to get your joke?
From Jake K on Fri, May 03, 2013 at 07:10:54 from 67.177.11.154
I hesitate to share this... but back before mud runs were a popular thing and during the time of my life where I wasn't really running much, they had one at the Teva Mountain Games. The games were held in Vail, and generated a lot of excitement, and since I lived there at the time...

It was very difficult. Not an obstacle course race, just a hard XC race at 8500 feet elevation with 2 mudpits.
My hair was stellar back then.

You were in the Army?!?

Jake, those pictures are awesome!! You should share more.
Rob, I got the joke, too. :-)

Ha ha ha! Jake did a MUD run :)

I was wondering when/where this conversation might come up. I should have known the critical voice of Rob Murphy I've come to appreciate would have a response.
Jake: I can't post my exact response to all that hair but it begins in "Oh" and ends in "it."
