Did a "fast" 6.5 mile walk in the gully today while my kids ran.

Gym afterwards - one mile warm-up on the elliptical and some strength training.

New protocol for my achilles: I was reading some Tim Noakes the other day ( The Lore of Running, AKA The Bible) and he mentioned icing a sore achilles 8 hours per day. So I got six bags of crushed ice and am going to devote myself to that the next couple days.

I'll report back. Send some positive thoughts my way.

That is exactly what my doc recommended when I sprained my ankle back in 2002. I was a dumb you know what because I decided to chase after some shoplifters in the store I worked at. I ran out and tripped over the flower bed and thus spraining my ankle! Anyway, Definitely good advice for sure. Sending good vibrations your way. Get well..

So Steve, did it work for you?

Sending you lots of positive vibes. I have been icing like crazy as well. :)

Good luck with the ice.
