Drove down to Provo with Haag and met the kids to run the L.A. Freeway.  We had 12 guys and 5 girls show up and complete the run, that is the most I have ever had.  It was freezing for the first two miles and I needed gloves, but it was hot at the end so I was glad i dressed down.  I ran with the boys, some of the run with varsity and some with JV, then back to varsity.  We hit a decent pace for the run overall, especially for taking it really easy at the beginning.  The last 3 miles were sub 6:00s.  I had the boys run an extra mile at the end while we waited for the girls to get done.  The Freeway was 1:14:10 for me, and the extra mile was 6:50, so 1:21:00 for the 11 miles.

Went to Magleby's Fresh for all you can eat french toast after the run.  Ate outside because the weather sooooo nice!

Good run! I think I am going to do UVM half now. After that half, I don't think I am ready for much more anytime soon. See you there regardless!

Tara come on! You have two months to get ready. You should plan on the full and if something happens fall back on the half at the end.

No way! I feel much more confident in the half. I'm going to try and go sub 1:20 this race. If I do the marathon, II will be lucky to be around my pr. Later this fall I will put down the hammer and go around 2:50's! You're going to do well. I wish my training had been smarter, but to be honest, I kinda dislike the marathon distance. As soon as I get my goal in the next couple years, I might be done with that distance unless I'm pacing. What's your favorite distance? Ever think of doing tris?

Marathons will make you tough though. My favorite distance used to be 1500 meters, now it is probably a 10 miler or a half marathon. I will do triathlons when I get old.
