I ran a mile on the treadmill with a Polar HR monitor in Ex. Phys. lab this morning.  It was an exercirse intensity test.  I don't know how some of you run on treadmills, I think they suck!  I will never run on them again if I can help it.

I went out again about 11:30 am and ran up onto the Providence bench.  I came down from Grandview on 1000 South (good little downhill section), into Millville, and home the usual way.  I felt better today and ran a decent pace, but there is still some definite fatigue and soreness in my body.  12.5 miles

So how did you do on your exercise test? What kind of shape are you in? Did you kick everyone's butt in your class?

Earlier this week you said you weren't sore from the race. Is your fatigue and soreness just showing up now from last weekend?

My test was just to see how fast I had to run to hit my target heart rate. The only person that hits it at a faster pace is Trever Ball. I don't usually wear a HR monitor, so I am not sure how accurate the test was. I hit 157 bpm at 7 minute miles.

As for being sore and tired, I think it is from both Del Sol and the 1/2 marathon, and it has finally caught up to me. I wasn't sore at all from the 1/2 until I had been on a run or two.

I just wanted to set the record straight with the whole treadmill running comments. According to Paul and others, my arrogant comments about how treadmill running sucks might have been offensive to some. I was not saying that people that run on treadmills suck, rather that I absolutely hate running on them myself! If others can run on them and enjoy doing it, then more power to you. Also for those who get offended by my comments or stupid little things like that, get over it!
