| | I'm off this week... my work has such down for the entire week, but I didn't run yesterday so it looks like a low mileage week for me. I often think about doing a fall marathon, but it get so difficult to train during the summer. My family always has other plans and don't think that all our vacations should revolve around my running... What's the deal with that? So it seems like I tend to slow down a bit in the summer. Anyway my run this morning felt good, I need to get new shoes though. No real plan to the run, just started from my house and ran around the hood for a bit. :) 6.08 miles 53:59

| | Today was MISERABLE!! First I got up later then I had planned, this is not totally bad... I think sleep is good. Then I have been needing new shoes for a while. I looked at the bottom of them yesterday after my run and I have now worn through the harder black bottom layer and I'm starting to wear off the softer white cushy stuff on places on the bottom of my shoes. My goal today is to get some new shoes!! So I pulled out a pair of older shoes that I still had in my closet... I looked at the bottom and they seemed to still have a bit of running left on them. Big mistake not looking inside them before I put them on!!About 3 miles into my run I could feel a pinching feeling on my heel... by mile four it felt like a white hot poker on my heal!! I don't know why I kept these shoes... they were the ones that gave me a huge blister... and now I have another one :( Took off my shoes about a block from my house and ran stocking footed the rest of the way...I should have done this earlier, it felt so much better then the shoes LOL. Garmin was acting up this morning so the mileage is a guestimate, and I'm clueless of the pace... It was painful so I'm sure it was terribly slow. To top off this lovely run about 1/4 a mile to the house I starting with tummy trouble. I was lucky though, there was some construction on the road I was on and they had a port-a-John. I'm blessed/cursed to have no sence of smell so they don't bother me :) The curse of no sence of smell... my garden is blooming so pretty... wish I could smell the lillies I cut and put on my table. So I'm chalking this run as done... and moving on and tomorrow will be better! Now I'm going to go weed the gardens, and feel the grass between my toes!

| | Today was slightly better run then yesterday, but still was not feeling my best. Got up pretty early but it took me a while to feel like I wanted to even try to run. I did get new shoes yesterday... had to go to two stores to find some asics in my size, they only had the more expensive ones so I was disappointed, but I knew that I had better get some because my heel was really starting to hurt. I'll ice it today also. I ran a longer loop from my house, when I got to about 4 miles my tummy started to bug. I knew there was a park at the bottom of the long hill I was on, when I got there it was locked so I chased the guy on the lawn mower around til he saw me and could unlock the door. He was soooo painfully slow walking back to the restroom, I don't think he felt the urgency I was needing him to feel. When I was about 1/2 a mile from my house there was a runner on the road coming the other direction. At first I thought it was a lady but as they approched I realized it was a guy.... Fabio LOL he looked just like him. He was wearing tight short shorts, tight tank top, almost like a unitard LOL and a long blond pony tail going half way down his back. It was a sight right out of a romance novel... if you are into that look LOL!! Anyway made me laugh to myself a bit. 8 miles- 1:14:57 Average pace 9:15

| | Got a very late start to my day... but the extra sleep was heaven!! My run felt a bit better then yesterday, but still had very tired legs and lots of pain in them. I made an appointment to get into a doc in a couple of weeks. Slow miles today didn't really have a plan but was hoping to get at least 9 miles, so that's a small victory!! Have a great weekend bloggers! 9.31 miles - 1:25:09
