I needed a change of scenery tonight, so I ran through the city and up to the cemetery where my friend is buried. I stopped and had a chat with him... no tears tonight just a "happy birthday" and a "I still miss you". His birthday was last week... and the anniversary of his death was a few days ago. Then I ran around the cemetery for a bit. Ogden cemetery is an old cemetery with lovely markers. It was overcast and gray today so kinda weird to be in a cemetery when it's like that. After I went out on the road for a bit til I hooked into the lower part of the parkway and back to the car. Took it easy tonight because my hip is still bugging. I don't know if I should be worried or not... I think I will take it easy for a few nights and see how it feels.

A nice run, Lori. I'm sure your friend appreciated you keeping him in your thoughts. Nice run too. Sometimes I do a loop through the cemetery by the track at the school. I find it's peaceful. Theres a famous runner from Ontario, Ed Whitlock. He has a lot of World Records in the 70-79 divisions and he regularly runs for hours in cemetaries.

I'm glad everything feels good. Are you icing, rolling the hip?

It sounds like you had a peaceful run, good for the body and the soul. I hope that taking it easy for a few days fixes up the hip.
