I had a lovely and restful Easter weekend, in fact I'm still off work today! I ran earlier this morning but I'm finally getting a minute to post on the blog. So today was a very nice run, after getting my husband off to work I started my run. I planned on 7-8 but felt so good I just kept going. The hills in the neighborhood did not seem as bad as when I ran them on Friday. I was able to stay at a bit faster pace, but better yet I didn't have to stop and walk on any of the hills :) that always makes me feel good. So I'm off to get some spring cleaning accomplished, and hopefully some sculpting :)

11 miles - 1:39:57

laps: 9:47, 9:55, 9:47, 9:49, 8:26, 8:18, 8:45, 8:41, 8:35, 9:26, 8:25!

Sound of music I hope I did this correct... it made me smile. I think this should happen more often.

Smart Sheep or shepards with too much time on their hands... you be the judge.

Don't you love it when things feel so good you just want to keep on running? What a great day!

This shows things are really getting better. Your middle miles would have gotten you a PR in the half. You are finally starting to run more like yourself.

Jun, days like today... are why we keep running.

Sasha, I'm feeling much better, and I do think things are getting better. I have to confess that some of the middle miles were down hill.

From Sasha Pachev on Mon, Apr 13, 2009 at 19:24:51 from 64.81.245.109

They could not have been too much downhill. I assume you ran a loop course. If so, the downhill could not have been that steep, maybe 2% net drop, otherwise your uphill miles to gain the elevation would have been over 10:00. Plus, the steepest continuous downhill within running distance from Pleasant View is the Ogden canyon, right?

From Metcalf Running on Mon, Apr 13, 2009 at 19:45:03 from 71.219.132.113

Ogden Canyon or North Ogden Divide are probably the steepest roads you could run close to my home. But I don't think either are very safe to run... except for Ogden Canyon during the marathon.

Great run today!

And I enjoyed the links, especially the Sound of Music one. The sheep one seems a little fishy.

I liked the sound of music one. And I usually don't like that girly kind of stuff.

Breaking into song and dance in the middle of a train station girlie??? (Mock Shock) But I bet there was a part of you that was singing that song for a while, maybe even tapping a toe or two. LOL

Lori ~ AWESOME run! check out that 8:18!!! You're so ready for Ogden!!! What's your Half PR?

Those links are FUN...put a smile on my face especially the spontaneity of the sound of music, my all time favorite show.

Thanks Smooth... I hope you are resting! :) I loved the sound of music one also.... was it just me or did everyone want to be Julie Andrews when they were little. My other fav movie when I was younger (and now I guess) was The King and I. Remember the big puffy dress when they danced? Loved that!
