Up and out the door at 5:00am.... This run was mentally, physically very VERY hard! If it was not for this blog and knowing that Carolyn and Sno are out there running with me, I don't know if I would have ventured out this morning. I told myself just do three... then at least you won't have a 0 on the miles. But you all know how that is... once you are out there... by mile three you are warmed up and you figure you might as well do a bit more. It was a bit overcast this morning so it was dark, and at the turnaround point it started getting windy. Nothing too bad though. Left hip was bugging towards the end, I blame this on the quick turnaround from a night run to a early morning run.

There are a couple of positives... 1) I'm done with my run for the day! 2) I can't remember it now... but when I was running I know I thought of one more.

Laps: 9:04, 9:48, 8:50, 8:55, 8:58, 8:50, (.20) 9:25

Holy moly that's early. Nice job! Especially with the short turn around and all.

Almost every run I convince myself within the first half mile that I'm just going to run 3 miles. Then, like you said, I get warmed up and my plans change.

Now I feel guilty. I didn't get out until just past 5:30 this morning. Way to get out in the early morning and get in a great run. You're right. It is nice to have it done for the day.

Carolyn, I'm so glad that I made you feel guilty. LOL Because it is usually the other way around. :)

I'm glad you got the benefit of my early rising even though I slept until 5:30! this morning. Great job getting out there. It really isn't as bad if you do it regularly.
