Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

I made it to the gym today after a few errands.  Was glad to get a run in since I didn't run yesterday.  Usual day at the gym on the TM.

Ran 7 miles on the TM at the gym today.  Just been trying to get some miles in lately to back in a good routine.  Worked on some weights to try and do something else besides just running.  So far I'm liking it.

Ran today at the gym.  Ended up running 8 miles with walking a half to cool down.   Threw in some incline at the end.  Worked on some weights and stretched at the end to finish things out.

Typical run at the gym.   Ended up running about 8.20 miles.  I started walking at 8 miles to cool down and then thought that was taking to long so picked it up and finished with a jog.  I don't plan on working all day tomorrow so I'm hoping to have a longer run.   Sure is cold outside!!!

Got off of work early today.  I acutally didn't have to go in at all, but I wanted to get a few things done.  Left around 10:15am.  It was nice going to the gym earlier!  Ended up doing 10 miles.  Every day once I reach 7 I keep telling myself - 'i'll stop in another half'.  Then once i get there I can't think of stopping until I get to the next mile.  Also, if I stop to walk to cool down I may walk for a minute or so and then pick it up to finish it out cuz it's driving me nuts to walk.  Sometimes I just do alittle extra...today I ended up going to 10.    Glad I did it because I sure didn't feel like running at mile 4.   Ran around a 9 mm.  Did a few arm weights and then situps to finish.  Hope it's a good day tomorrow.

Nice day at the gym today.  Imagine my shock coming up the stairs and seeing a row of awsome runners! Alitte intimating to say the least.  I headed up to the back top TM as I like them better than the ones below. It was great seeing everyone running in front of me. 

I never know what I'll do after my first hour.  Just go mile by mile. Ended up doing 15 on the TM.  Thought I'd stop at 12, but then decided what the heck just 3 more.  The last mile to mile and a half got tough that's for sure.  I appreciated that Jeff stopped by to say hello and let me know who everyone was. I'd seen all them all at the gym at different times before. Pretty amazing to see them all there at once.  Who knows maybe some dead I'll attempt another marathon.  It was a good day.
