Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

Spent the day taking a drive to check out campsites for this coming weekend. Found a site we can maybe get a good run in and bike ride.

I was tired today!  Don't know if it was from the heat or just one of those days! Ran alittle over 5 miles.  Went home took a short break to talk to my husband and then went back out for awhile.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Ended up running at the gym today.  Had only planned on doing some Interval work but ended up doing that and ran with an incline.  Between that and warmup and cooldown ran 8.5 miles.  More than I planned, but good.  Tired when I was done.    Did some weights and stretching when I was done.   Good workout.

Marlin and I went for a run this morning before work.  I'd forgotten how nice it was to run in the morning and when it's cooler.  Ran into Jeff which was really nice.  Great seeing him.  Overall average for run was 9:22.  Four miles were at about 8:52, but, got alittle tired for awhile.  Managed to pick it up at the end of the run.

Day off of running today. Went up camping so was able to get in some bike rides. Great hills.

Great run this morning.  Took off from the campsite and had planned on doing only about 6 miles.  Boy were there alot of hills!   It was great.  Felt great at the end of the run and finished pretty strong.  Loved running along the river with all the trees.   Will be going back to do that run again!

Ran after work today.   To hot to run outside.  Went to the gym thinking I'd do the usual 6.2.  Around the 3 mile mark I'd still planned on doing just the 6 miles.   Ended up doing 8 miles with a cooldown.  Ran at 8:52 for first 6 miles.  Ended the other two miles at 8:30 & 8:00 min mile.   Felt like I got a good run.    Took some time after the run to stretch and do a few weights.  Good workout.

Alittle tired this morning when running.  Ran before work at 5:30am at the gym.  Managed to keep it at a 8:30 min mile so I was glad about that.   Stepped it up again at the end to an 8 min mile.

Slept in this morning so I ran after work.  Didn't help that Marlin didn't run either.  To tempting to sleep. Been running at the gym either because it's to dark in the AM or to hot in the PM.  But this gives me a chance to get some other things done while at the gym.  Kept it at a 8:30 pace.  Legs alittle tired towards the end but finished alright.  Works been pretty hectic with getting a new boss so I've been glad to get some good workouts the last couple of days.

Plan on getting up early tomorrow.  Can't wait for the weekend!   Heading up to Island Park to the cabin.
