Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

Ran up at Island Park this morning.  I'd eaten so much yesterday - did not have a good run this morning.  My sister and I rode our bikes when we went up to Buttermilk to hang out and take out the boat.  Fun time with everyone!

Ran intervals today at the gym.  Ran 4x800 w/400 recovery. 1 mile warmup.   7:13 (165 HR) - 7:03 (168) - 7:25 (165) - 7:13 (174) - 7:35 (173).  Finished run in Zone 2 and then cooled down.

Just a normal run today.  Felt good to run early in the morning before work. Nothening like being out there at 5am!  Walked at lunch for 30 min's.  After work I went to the gym and did the Arc Trainer for 45 min's.  I was glad to get some other type of workout done.  I've been needing to change things up.

Today I was able to run at the gym.  Pretty good tempo run for one hour. I was really happy about that because I was dreading the run alittle.   After that I did the Arc Trainer for another 20 min's.  Then moved into doing some weights, situp's and stretching.  I've been pretty happy with my workout's later.

Pretty casual run today at the gym after work.  I'm liking getting other things done while being there. So far I plan on taking tomorrow off.
