Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

I didn't run this morning because I wanted to get to work early.  Work gets hectic at the end of month so I left work for a couple of hours to go to the river and run. I knew I'd run 7 miles, but as I was going along I knew - 7 was not enough.  I really wanted to get 10 in.  Someone actually told me today that he was using me as a pacer for his run.  That's never happened before.  Today was pretty warm so I was happy to not go under an 8:30 pace.

I ended up running after work today. It was pretty warm, but, thank goodness for the breeze and water.  It ended up not being to bad.  I was glad to just get the miles in.  7 miles.

Early run this morning in the am. I actually slept in a tiny bit.  But, I was still out the door by 5:45am.  I can tell I'm not fully awake when I run in the morning compared to the afternoon runs.   I was glad to get a walk in during lunch.  Lots going on at work and it was a good break.  Tomorrow Marlin's going to be home!!! Yahoo!!!

Normal run today. I'm not sure if I ran 7 or 8 miles in the moring.  Will report 7 for the run and 1 mile for walking at lunch.

Long, long run this morning.  I knew I wanted to go at least 10 -12 miles. I was happy to get a few more in than that.  Overall, feel pretty good.  Just tired right now.  Went to the Museum of Idaho and then shopping!  My feet are tired now.  I plan on running around 7 miles tomorrow.  Marlin signed us up for the 5k on the 4th.
