Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

Well, today would typically be a day off.  But, with Marlin being gone I had more time to spare.  And, at first I was just going to go around the river twice.  But, then I thought...oh, I'll just go six miles.  Well, six turned into 7.25 miles to make it short.   I then came home and did a few little things and then went into Macy's with my mom.  Then I came home and tried to take a nap.  I didn't really sleep and when I got up I went to mom and dad's and helped with dinner.   Then, I came home, made my energy bars for the week and then made my lunch.  I was glad to get some miles in for the week!

Ran early this morning before work. I'm always wishing I'd get up and earlier than I do.  But, overall I'm still done pretty early and make it to work by 7am.  I walked durning lunch also.    Glad to see the good weather.  Marlin's gone so trying to keep busy.

Got up early again and ran.  I always kinda dread it when I start out but by a half mile in I always forgot it and end up having a nice morning.  Just the usual run this morning.  Pretty strange Marlin not being here.

Long run this morning. Actually got out the door by 5am!  Went the usual run leaving from the house.  As I was headed back I knew I'd get at least 7.5.  As I was coming up to this I kept thinking....run around the river after work or do it now, river, now, river, now...just get it done!  By the time I ran down this other road and back and then getting home I was alittle over the 10 miles.  I was sure glad to get it done.

I decided to wait to run after work today.  I knew I'd have a short day because I worked late a couple of days this week. It was nice getting off by 11am.  Went and ran the river. It was alittle breezy, but, good overall.  Spent the rest of the day shopping!

Ran this morning in the AM. Pretty good run and it was still alittle cool.  Pretty happy with the pace today.  Went from around 7:53 to 8:13.  I'm feeling better about getting my runs in and trying to keep up the miles.
