Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

Speed workout today!   6  x 1200 w/400 cooldown  7:47 (165 HR) - 7:47 (168) - 747 (173) - 7:47 (173) - 7:47 (177) - 7:47 (178/180).

I think the speed workouts are starting to pay off.  I notice it in my other run and on speed days.

Had to keep it short today. Just had time to do 7 miles.   I did my speedwork yesterday because I knew today was going to be a short day.  Had to see my hairdresser Bev!  Overall, it was a good run.  Nice and easy after yesterday.

Another day at the gym today. Ran 8.5 miles in Zone 2 before doing a yoga class. Overall, I was happy with my HR.  Kept it in the low to mid range in Zone 2.  Yoga felt great!  Marlin went which was nice.  Hope he goes again.

Tempo run at the gym today.  Ran 1 mile and then moved into the upper end of Zone 2.  As the run went on I ran between Zone 2 and 3.  Felt tired towards the end of the run.  Work had been pretty hectic today trying to training agents on upcoming changes at the first of month.  We've been understafffed so it was kinda hectic.

Went to the gym after work today.  Ran 8.5 miles in Zone 2 and walked half a mile to cool down.  Overall, I liked the run.  My sister showed up after 2 miles and I ran with her for a few miles. She had to go back to work.  Marlin showed up when I was finishing up.  Have to go to work tomorrow morning until around 11am.
