Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

Quick day at the gym today.  Ran 6 miles at an easy pace.

Nice today at the gym.  Did a 10 mile run trying to keep it at the low end of zone 2.  Felt pretty good at the end.

It was a good day at the gym.  Ran 6x800 w/200 recovery. 1 mile warmup @ 9:22.  8:00 (172 HR) - 7:53 (177) - 7:53 (177) - 7:53 (177) - 7:53 (177) - 7:53 (177).  Nice cooldown run.

Slower pace run today on the TM.  I was really trying to keep my HR down today.  Legs were tired from yesterday.  I always find it harder the day after intervals to keep my HR where it should be.  I really need to work on that! 

It's been hectic with my parents up from Ariz this week.  Glad I'm still able to get my runs in.  I just get home later because I need to stop by and see them for awhile after the gym. It's alright.  Wish the weather was warmer since they're visiting!

Made it to the gym today after work. I'm glad tomorrows Friday.  Every day there is some kind of meeting to go to.  Tomorrow's a 2 hr meeting.  Marlin's offtomorrow  so he's going to be busy with errands.  Kinda nice him having a day off! 

For the run today I did a 15 min warm up and then moved it up to marathon pace (average 166 HR) - ending with a cool down for about 15 min's. Wisih my HR was alittle lower, but, I felt ok overall.  I can tell it takes me a couple of days after intervals before my legs feel better.

Went to they gym after work today.  Glad it was Friday.  Did a slower run today trying to keep it in the lower range of zone 2.  Puts me at a 10 min mile.  I've gotten so used to doing the same type of run up around my LT range it's been hard to run at a lower heart rate.  I think it's getting easier. I was happy I stayed below 155 HR.  Went home and stretched while watching tv.  Sure does help.I've been liking doing some weights so might try yoga next week.

Kept it easy today. Ran quite a bit this last week.  Getting excited for a day off.  6 miles in Zone 2.
