Running Accomplishments:

Started running in 2001.  Have completed over 100 marathons and ultras since then. 

Marathon PR 2:56:04 (2005 St. George)

New PR 2:53:24 (2008 Tucson)

Finished 2nd Overall in 2005 Utah Grand Slam to Paul Peterson.  He beat me by 30 min in every race.

1/2 Marathon PR 1:23:56 (2008 Just Cuz Half Marathon)

Completed the Utah Grand Slam 10 consecutive years (2003-2012).  I don't know if anyone else has done that.

Short-Term Running Goals:

2024 Goals:

Be consistent in my Riding.

Drop a few lbs.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I have long-term biking goals.  Running is completely out of the question with the Meniscus in my knee.

Personal:

I'm in the 60-64 Age Group.....Yikes!

I have been married for over 40 years.  We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

It was 32 degrees this morning...BRRRR.  I ran 13.29 miles with 7 good tempo miles in the middle.  Not liking these temps.  I am not used to them yet and I don't WANT to be used to them yet.

big change in the weather, eh? i mistakenly wore sandals to walk to school and my toes about froze! i am with you, we don't need these kind of temps just yet. great tempo work today.

It's been cold the last 2 mornings. At our elevation (4500) it cools off early in the fall.

I try to do a good tempo run at least once per week if I am not running a race.

Do you also run intervals? On a track? I'm doing intervals one week and tempo the next (Sean Sundwall's coaching). Curious about others... :)

Bill, I hated it this morning. My hands were freezing up on Satterfield. I'm with you I don't like it. I think I will run less this winter because I'm not really motivated to run in the cold weather this year.
