Kaelie and I met at the school this morning at 8:30. We decided to do the church run (the one after hot nails). I didn't feel that fantastic.... But it was a great run. : )

| | Wow, I haven't ran 5 miles in a long time..... I feel great!! I was super late with Taylor Boyer, so you guys left without us. But it was a good 'bonding' experience with her. : ) It was a fun Target run. I was about to only run 4 miles, but then when we got to Starbucks, Taylor said, "Do you just want to go 5?" I said, "Sure, I feel great." Fun, fun, run. |

Ahh! Level 3! I swear just yesterday I became Level 2! Taylor and I kept up with the Varsity girls for the first 3 miles, then we kind of fell behind. But at the last 3/4 of a mile, I started to speed up and I lead the pack! And Kaylee caught up to me and we ran together. At the very end Rachel started to speed up and caught up to us and she said, "See ya'!" Then Kaylee and I started to speed up even more and Rachel fell behind. It was fantastic. : ) | |

Man, this was not my day! I had a super bad stomach ache, and every time I ran fast I felt even worse! The 2 Mile Tempo didn't really work, because I couldn't run fast. I just didn't feel good. Other than that... FANTASTIC!!! ; ) |

| | This trail was one of the funnest/prettiest trails we've done. And, of course, Taylor and I kinda fell behind, but it was nice to enjoy the scenery. It was super pretty. Ow... That was a painful run. It just wasn't my day, I couldn't breath at all (well, at least it felt that way). On the last 200 we did, I almost past out. But on the way back, I felt so much better! But still a little light headed... Ah, well. Hills make me stronger. :)

| | Ok, here is the story of the 10 miles, when Taylor and I only had to go 9 miles. Frida put her jacket on the fence to pick up on the way back before we started our tempo. Then we started our 30 minutes. We were doing good, then Taylor and I kinda' fell behind, but that's ok, because Coach Holt gives fantastic directions! (he he, not!) So we get back from around the mountain, and Frida's coat is still on the fence, so Taylor and I thought, "Well crud! We did a wrong turn! And now we are ahead of the girls." So we decided to run an extra mile more, thinking that's how much we cut off. But when we finished our extra mile, Frida's jacket was still there, so we then started to think that Frida forgot her jacket. Turns out she did.... so Taylor did that extra mile for nothing! The end! :) |

| | Well that was prolly the crapiest run I have ever had. I wasn't sore from last speed workout, but I did something to my hip and that was hurting me during the whole workout. In fact, it hurt every time I tried to go fast, that is why I was super slow. I was way sad that Taylor wasn't there to run that workout with me, because Taylor pushes me to go faster. Ah, well... I will do better next time. |

This run was the greatest. At first Kaele G., Taylor and I ran with Byron and Colton, which is always fun. Then we went to the river and jumped in. We did striders at the park right by the river, then jumped in the river again. It was super fun! :D

Eating right before a run = (equals) no bueno. I felt complete sick the whole run and had bad cramps. This 3 miles took me 34 minutes and 28 seconds. That's super sad..... I learned my lesson to not eat right before I run. Yeah.... never doing that again.... I still feel sick. I love running! :) |

Today's run was awesome! Kaelie and I kept up with the Varsity Girls! Thanks Rachel for "tying your shoes". :) I told Kaelie that if she stays with me in running, she will have a really good chance to be on varsity.... but she says she doesn't like the spandex shorts... oh well, it's just one of the things you have to bare through to be on varsity. :D Kids Club was super fun! Jason (my little brother) got 4th out of everybody in his race. I am very proud. Summer Practice is the best! |

Today's run was way better than yesterday's! I think it's because I drank more water yesterday. Drinking water really makes a difference! But I still think I am no drinking enough. But after running the 4 miles, my hip started to hurt... not a sideache though.... It just hurts. Then after striders, it hurt even more. But now, I can bearly walk. I am limping so bad. What can I do to help it feel better? | |

Coach Roberts was running with Stoner and Mia, but then he decided to be nice and wait for Aubrey and me. Aubrey is really improving so much! It was super nice weather today. It was a super nice run today. I kept up with Rachel and Coach Roberts. (for the most part, I fell behind a little... but I caught up :D) Aubrey ran with us too. She is getting way good. She is super speedy. Kid's Club was a blast. We did a Relay Race and the kids loved it! I'm sad we are not running as a team tomorrow.... Running with the team is the highlight of my day. Oh well, gives me something to look forward to on Thursday. Yeah, the 4th of July! Time to celebrate! :) (tomorrow)

I am never going to fall behind again. That was super hard to catch up... it felt like I was racing today's run until I caught up. At first I was running with Taylor and Mariah, then I began to think, "I am going to take today's run super easy." But then another thought came to my head saying, "Wait this isn't Varsity thinking!" So I said to Mariah and Taylor that I am going to catch up to Aubrey, Mia, and Rachel. Taylor said, "Have fun with that, cause' we're not." And guess what?! I did have fun with that! I finally caught up to the girls on the third lap on the grass. That was the hardest thing I've done in a long time. And then we had to run more than we thought we had to. But I had an awesome time! I feel great! Oh yeah, and Coach, we were supposed to run 4 miles w/ striders- 5 miles total.

Super nice weather (I woke up at 6:30 this morning to run, so it wasn't hot yet). I saw a bunch of chickens and one rooster on my run.... I say that was the highlight of my day. They were awesome. I am super sad I won't run with the team until High Altitude camp. I will try to convince myself to run in Canada. (but if I do run in Canada, they will be way short (2-3 miles)) | |

Man, today's run was hard.... But I kept up with the group this time, but about died. Going down the other side of the hill was just as difficult as going up the other side (the one we did the workout on). That grass is SUPER thick! I could bearly move my feet. I guess that means I have to lift my knees more. Well, I love running! :D | |
| | I didn't have my Garmin this morning, so I did a run that we said was three miles. I sure hope it was or close to it... It felt like a 3 mile run so.... yeah. It felt like I had a strong pace, but I wouldn't know, because no one was pacing me. It took me about 30 minutes to run the whole thing. The weather was super nice. |

Man, today's run really tired me. It was super hard too. I kinda fell behind for most of it. That run was like a tempo, hill, and distance run all combined. Yeah, it was pretty difficult. Starting our tempo is what got me the most. I got super bad cramps, than after that, my stomach started hurting, then my back began to hurt. But it was a good hard run, it will make me stronger. Yeah, for afternoon runs!!!!

PM- I took this 3 nice and easy with Little Taylor Boyer. It is SO hot! The other girls that were in front of us stopped at Arctic Circle, but Taylor and I decided not to stop. So we made it back before the other girls. That made me feel great. Weights were a blast. |

I felt so much better than last week, but I was still was super beat up from this run. I was able to keep a steady tempo pace. I ran tempo with Nicole. We stopped at got a little drink at the Fire Station.
PM- Super nice... I ran with Kaelie! For the first time in a month! It was awesome. She paced me really good, because she kept up with the Varsity girls, and I wanted to run with her, so I unded up running with the Varsity girls too. Weights were great! I can't wait for the race on Wednesday. |

I felt good on this run. I kept up with Varsity the whole time! I felt way better than yesterday, in fact Coach told me that I ran the dirt mile faster than my tempo yesterday. Even though I was supposed to go faster on tempo, but hey, I didn't run 4 miles before running on the dirt mile.

I felt beat up from the race yesterday. But we did the workout! I feel good about our pace and stuff. We all pushed eachother on all the hills. My 30 second ones were way better than my 1 minute ones. I think it's just all mental.... I got to think positive on the minute hills. We stopped for a drink/potty break while coming back from hills. After our run, we all got into Megan's car and drove to the Washington Rec Center. That was a blast.
PM- I felt really good on today's afternoon run. I loved the weather, it was perfect! That meeting thing at the Running Center was super fun! I learned a lot of important things for races! The pizza was great too :).

I felt good on the way out, but on the way back, I started to feel really tired/thirsty. I ran with Kaelie on the way to the halfway point, and on the way back I ran with Megan and Taylor. We stopped at the park to get a drink and to go to the bathroom. I decided to stay at the school until 10 to get my locker. That was a blast. So I was super starving until my mom picked me up and took me to Costco. That is where I got a berry smoothie and a churro for breakfast.(I know, super healthy breakfast) :P
PM- I felt really good on this run. I didn't think it was too hot either, or maybe I am going insane, because everybody else was melting in this heat. I getting in bad habits of not drinking water again. I am going to die if I don't drink water when we do hard afternoon runs. Weights were great. | |

My first was too fast, I got 3:58, 2nd I got 4:06, 3rd I got 4:07, 4th (the slowest/hardest one) I got 4:16, 5th I pushed myself the hardest so I got 4:06 again. After the workout, I got super light headed. Yesterday my head kinda felt weird the whole day too, I had a headache and I couldn't think straight at all. The heat is getting to me. I think the reason I felt light headed today, is because of how I felt yesterday. I hope it doesn't get worse. I prolly just need to drink more water. I ran with JP, Stoner, Mia, and Aubrey this morning. I felt pretty good through out the whole workout, but I think I could have pushed more than I did. The last 400 was my best mental one, therefore my best physical one. Every single one (except the last one) I was about 10 seconds behind JP, Stoner, and Mia, but on the last 400 I was up with them. That boosted my self esteem :). I like doing the hard workouts in the morning.

It wasn't even that late, it was about 11 pm, but I guess I need to go to bed ealier than that. And then Coach wanted me to say the line I said at XC camp in my skit. I guess I will say it now, for you Coach.... (picture me in my Southern Accent) After days and days of playing checkers, Kyler and Hobbes were the finalists. Hurricane (3 Miles) 00:22:04, Place overall: 27 | | Well, I wouldn't call this my best race... I was way nervous to run with the super fast people today. Right when we first started I kinda had a little stomach ache because of how nervous I was. I hope I can push myself harder next week. But this was my first Varsity race, so I guess I did good. Now that I know how it feels, I might be able to pace myself better. I kept on settling! I got to work on that. I want to keep up with Mia next race, but I just got to think it in order to do it. Overall, this race was alright. | |
| | AM- I did pretty good on today's speed workout. I stayed up with Mia 3 out of the 5 times! (which is more than usual, so I'm improving!) I felt super great, until the 4th one... That's when my stomach started to hurt. That wasn't fun. I think that was the hardest I pushed myself in a long time. My stomach didn't stop hurting until 2nd period today. I think this workout was the best one of the season, because I pushed myself harder than I usually do. It was great! Next time I will stay with Mia the whole time!:) PM- Super fun, relaxing 3 mile run. This was probably the first run I actually had fun on. We went to the Sanbergs (the 3 mile way) It was super great! All the girls stopped at the the pond and jumped in, except Coach, Kaelie, and I, we decided to keep on going. On the way back from the pond, I saw jack rabbit!! That was cool. I loved today's afternoon run! Weights and stuff were nice, we got done before the boys even got back from their run. I thought that was great. :D

AM- I went with JP, Mia, Kaelie, Aubrey, and Taylor on the run this morning. It wasn't too bad of a run. Plus, my ankle wasn't hurting too bad. I found this gel stuff in my bathroom that's supposed to "stop the pain", so I used that . I figured out it really works! I think it works better than the tape, plus it's more comfortable. So I am going to use that instead of the tape now. I felt really good on this run, I kept up with JP and Mia through out the whole thing, that was good. And it was completely pouring on us, that was a blast. I love rain!
PM- Easy 3! We decided to make up a 3 mile run. That was really fun to shake it up a little. We went the way we usually go for Arctic Circle, but when you get out of the neighborhood we went right unstead of going straight, and we went to Harts. But we figured out that wasn't 3 miles, so we ran in some parking lots until we had enough milage. That was fun. Once again, we got rained on! :) |

AM- I went to morning practice @ 5:45 this morning so that I could run the Trilogy crew. It was great. Kaelie decided to come too. It was a party and a half. Susan turned around at the 2 mile point so that she could get ready (cuz she gets ready slow?). It was great. Kaelie and I were the only ones who did the 200s in that group. They felt good.

PM- This race wasn't my greatest. I was hurting like the whole time during it. Going up the Mutha Cussa (is that how you spell it?) I was going slower than the people that were walking. But it was after the hill when I passed one girl. At the last stretch, a girl passed me, but right before the finish line, I went in a all out sprint and passed her. So I guess that was the best part of the race for me. But that's also when I started hurting the most. After cheering for the boys, thats when I lost it and started crying... But we beat Desert Hills!!! And we got 3rd! That was awesome to get a trophy! I can't wait for next week's race! :) | |

I decided to sleep in until 9 this morning, it was supa' nice. The weather wasn't even that hot this morning, in fact it was perfect. My legs are still hurting, but not as bad as yesterday. My last mile I felt like a did a pretty good pace, it was 8:33 minute pace. But all the other ones were like 11 minute pace. Overall, this was a nice run. | |

AM- I loved this morning's run! The 2 mile Indian run was the best. :) Every time we had to run to the front we had to pretend we were something that we are not (ie tree). It was a blast! 200's I tightend up again.... I love running!
PM- Easy 3 out to Green Springs. Supa' fun. It was REALLY hot though! I hurt during the sprint things we had to do (100s and the hill sprints). But that's alright, because I ate a banana. :) Hopefully that will help with my tightness. |

My time was about 33 something... I know I could have pushed way harder than I did.

PM- I don't know what to think about this race... I guess I did alright... I improved 1 minute from last time, that's good. My start was awful, again! I need to not be so friendly at the beginning! I just let people go in front of me! But I end up passing them during the race. My knees didn't bother me at all while racing, but there was a huge knot in my calf that I couldn't stop thinking about in the race. Plus I kept on thinking that my legs are tired, so I just slowed down at that point. I tried to sprint at the end, but it felt like I wasn't even going that fast. On the plus side, no one passed me at the end. :) Yeah for being 3rd!!! And 2nd!! And 1st!!!! And 7th!!!! I love our team! We are the best! |

AM- I really liked this workout. I felt really good during the 1 mile repeats. They were great. :) 200's were alright, I just need to learn to run on my toes!
PM- Easy 3! Kaelie and I had a great time running by OURSELVES! (coach!) Hill sprints and 100's were the best, like always. It was supa' hot today, hopefully it gets cooler soon. Anyway, figured out my battle wound on my knee is infected, so I put some hydrogen peroxide on it. Man! It hurt like a mutha cussa! :P |

PM- I felt great! Except for the fact I couldn't breath and I felt light headed. The 2nd mile repeat was the best!!! I kept up with the top 3 girls!!!!!! I am supER excited!! (you're welcome, Roberts) And on all the rest I wasn't too far behind. After the workout, I was light headed, shaking, and I couldn't breath... so I didn't do the cool down. I think I would have passed out on the cool down. I had to lay down on the ground for a little bit and I had to get help to get to my brother's car. Today's workout was the best! I wish I knew I had that much in me in the past races! | |
| | Taylor and I did the run before any of the runners passed our aid station. But they did pass us during our run. That was pretty cool to see. Taylor and I ate 3 donuts and drank a cup of chocolate milk right before our run. I wanted to barf. The fartleks seemed like a good solid pace. We sped up like a mile before we ended. My legs felt great, but my stomach didn't feel so awesome. Atleast I didn't pass out. :) | |

I really loved this course! My favorite part was the big hill. That's when I passed a lot of girls! I felt great! The only part that girls passed me was at the end... I need to work on that. But overall, this race was awesome! I like racing at State way more than cheering at State. I'm glad we had so many cheerers, because I know I couldn't have gotten the time I got without them. :) I love our team! We are the best! |

PM- We went out to green springs. I felt great on the way there.. just on the way back is when I started getting tired. So I ran with Aubrey. It was super fun! But when we were almost back to the high school, I landed on my foot weird, and sprained my ankle! Why do I do this to myself? So we walked for about 100 meters and ran/limped the rest of the way back. I love running! :) |

PM- Today's run was way nice and relaxing... I don't remember the last time I've ran that slow. It was great! I ran with Maquel. My ankle is feeling better, but it's not completely healed. Striders were alright. But atleast they go by fast. I love running! :D |
| | AM- Easy 3. It is getting SO cold! I could bearly move my legs! PM- I am so happy that we don't have a michigan. Those stress me out a lot... This workout was alright. I got to run with Coach Roberts. That's always fun. :) He pushes me a ton. My goal is to stay up with him (or maybe even pass him) in every workout we have. I ran the cool down with Taylor B. On way to Harts, a lady in her car stopped by us and asked us if we knew where the movie theater was... good thing Taylor was there, cuz I had no idea! :)

| | This run was SO fun! I ran with Megan Finch, Aubrey, and Taylor B. I was so excited to hear that Megan was racing Varsity next weekend!!! It's gonna be a blast and a half! :) We ran to the hospital and up foremaster. It was great! We saw Megan Frodsham driving in her car. She stopped and said hi. That was prolly the highlight of my run. We had lots of bonding time. We had to run through construction. That was scary.... We had to walk a little bit to get out of there safely. But today's run was overall way fun!

| | Okay, I know the run was supposed to be 7 miles... but I got up at 6:30 to go run, because I had to go somewhere like at 9 something. So go outside and start running. Since it's so dark, I start seeing things in the bushes that I am running by... Then I start to panic... My mom calls me on my phone, and asks if I am alright. And I said, no. So she came and picked me up on my run... That is why I didn't run 7 miles. At least I ran.... that's better than nothing. :) |

AM- Michigan..... These are my favorite... :P They stress me out so bad!!! Sometimes, more than races! I don't even know why! I wish I stayed up with Kaelie..... It's just every time I ran up the hill I would fall behind and I would let the gap get wider. My time was around 31 something... I think. I didn't pay attention to the clock when I finished. But I hit B standard again! :)

| | We went on a 4 mile run when we got there.... It was cold! And It felt like I couldn't move my legs until the 3rd mile of the run. The haunted "house" we went to made me panic... a lot. It wasn't even that scary. It was just late at night and I was tired. We added some fartleks. That's what killed me the most. But the dinner we had after the run was super yummy! |

American Fork (3.1 Miles) 00:24:03 | | (P.S. I guessed on my time) Well, I would have to say this was my 2nd worst race I've had this season. (my 1st is Herriman) I just couldn't go faster than workout pace. I just kept on being past until the last stretch. I didn't even want to know my place and my time.... I would think that my time was around 24 minutes.... but I guess I will never know. Right when I passed the finish line, I started to cry. I was trying to keep it together when Coach Roberts was talking to me, but when Taylor came and hugged me, I completely lost it. But during the boys race, Finch threw off his gloves, so me and Taylor went and picked them up, and put one of his gloves on each of us. We were hoping that it will give us super speed for our next race. We'll see if it works in the Arizona race. |

AM- I love how commited our girls team is... I went to morning practice, but no girls showed up, so I just went home. (I might go running around my neighborhood, but if I can't find anybody to run with, I wont run this morning)

PM- TIME TRIAL! I was so excited for this! I felt great! I wish Mia was there so I can see I close I would have been to her. I felt the best during the 1200's and the sprint in, the 800 I started to feel the pain, but alteast I pushed through it at the end! I loved this time trial! :D |

| | I love 1000's! Pretty much the best workout in the world. I kinda took this workout easier than the other one we've done, cuz coach said not to go and kill it. So the whole time I kept on saying to myself not to kill it... My times were 3:40, 3:43, 3:46, and 3:50 something... I got slower every time. :P But overall, good workout. :)

Arizona (3.1 Miles) 00:21:37, Place overall: 290 | | I felt super good during the warm-up. I was thinking positive about the race and just felt mentally strong. Some of the girls had to go to the bathroom, so Stoner and I decided to go get our spot while we wait for them. The announcer guy says that there is 5 minutes left until he starts our race, and the rest of the girls aren't even back from the bathroom. That's when I started to feel super stressed out.... Then I started to feel nervous about the race, and my mental toughness is going down... But like 2 minutes before we start, our girls finally show up. He shoots the gun. I didn't start out too great, and Taylor gets in front of me. So I said to myself, "I have to beat Taylor!" Then some girls get in front of me, and I started to think negative. I never caught back up to Taylor, in fact I slowed down. I tried to think positive, but all I could think of was that my legs were super tired, and my body got the best of me... The last stretch was prolly my best part, I start my kick, and I see the girl in front of me. So I made a goal to catch and beat her. I finally pass her, and I hear a kid saying, "Beat this girl, she's not that far ahead of you!" When I heard that, I said, "I am not letting her pass me!" I beat her! That was the highlight of my race! Except for the choc. milk they gave us at the end. :) That was a nice touch. | |

I ran with Maquel this morning. It was a nice relaxing run. We did striders at a park. While we were doing the striders, the sprinklers turned on.... So we had to run on the wet grass. It was supa' slippery and cold. :P |

Timed Mile (1 Miles) 00:06:10, Place overall: 4 | | I was kinda' nervous for this all day, cuz we don't usually bring spikes to practice, unless it's a time trial, and we are done with those for this season, so.... During the DI warm-up, my legs felt like junk, that also made me think I was not gonna do so well in this timed mile. Taylor said she felt great, so I was thinking that Taylor would beat me. But I thought wrong! I beat her! That made me SO happy! I ran with Preston for the whole thing, he's a good pace maker. I couldn't really start my kick at the end until I had 50 yards left... But I guess I got a pretty good time for not running on the track for a whole season... I feel good about it now, but I know I will get a faster time in the mile in track season. |

Foot Locker (3.2 Miles) 00:22:42, Place overall: 92 | | Well, this was the best race EVER! :) I love this course! I finally had a race I thought positive the whole time! The hills were tough, but I pushed over them. I felt fantastic, and wanted to go faster and faster! Finishing, I felt like I wanted to puke, but that's alright, cuz that means I pushed hard! When I finished, after my tears of pain.... I couldn't stop smiling! :) This was the best way to end the season! That makes me sad that XC is over for this year.... I am going to miss the seniors.... Now time for the 2 week break. What am I going to do with myself! I am going to go insane! I have to run! |

Egg nog is the grossest drink ever. Never want to drink that stuff again.. :P I thought I was gonna have fun with this egg nog run, but all it did was make me feel sick and gross for the rest of the day. I don't even like egg nog to begin with!

It is so cold outside! In fact when I went out to start running, it was snowing! My hands are still freezing, so it's really difficult to type. When I ran by the Staheli Farm, I heard a cow get shot! It was scary. Anyway, it was a really nice, steady pace, run. I felt great even though I ate lots of candy and stuff yesterday. |
| | My family decided to visit family in Arizona, so I ran with my dad this morning around our hotel. We also ran on a golf course, but some guy yelled at us saying that the golf course was closed, so we didn't run on it again. It was a nice run. The weather was fantastic. Way better than it is in St. George. :) |
