I ran 5 miles on the treadmill in 38 minutes, then I did 20 minutes on the eliptical=2 miles. Lifted for 15 too. I lost some muscle the last few weeks. It's all good though!  :) Lynsey and/or Merri, are you guys interested in doing a run on Friday at 5? Like a 7 or 8 miler? I'd like to run outside but not at 5 AM by myself. Let me know if you guys can.

Yeah I am game and I'm sure Lynsey is :). Lynsey had a 7 miler planned for Friday anyway.

Yeah that sounds great Lily. We were planning on 6:30 - does that work?

Nice job on that treadmill. I run so slow on that machine it is sad!!!

How are ya feeling?

Nice run lil-ster. I'm already dreading winter because I know I'll be on the TM everyday. bleh.

NO!! I actually just this past winter made it through outside and it is not that bad! If you get the right running clothes, you can stay off of that treadmill most days, I promise!

Well, Kelli you might have to come with me on a running clothes shopping excursion to find the right stuff because I think I would rather run in snow than the TM.

That was my problem this winter NO WINTER RUNNING clothes. I made a big mistake running w/ just the regular clothing items and I was all sweaty underneath and stopped for a break and almost got hypothermia b/c my sweaty shirt under my hoodie was soaked w/ sweat and it started to fReEzE...I think :)

I've tried running a few times in the winter. I didn't like how I would suddenly slip on unseen ice or slushy snow. I wasn't a fan. I know athleta has some winter running clothing. They are owned by Gap now so you can check out the clothing on gap.com

I can only think of one day that is was pretty unbearable the entire run. It was in the high 20's and windy. There were a few snowy days that were hard, but we would just run in the road where it was plowed. You have to run slower and be very careful, but I kind of learned to like it! Our running group has a pretty consistent 15 people and there were only ever 3 falls the entire winter and all were not too bad.

TARGET is where I got all of my running clothes!! They are much cheaper and they did the job. Just watch in Sept or Oct when the cold weather stuff comes out and nab 2 pairs of running tights, a few fleece vests, and some champion skin tight shirts (they are just like under armor bur cheaper). I also bought a long sleeve fleece jacket for the super cold days when you need to zip up to your chin. Then, go to Wal Mart and buy the cheapy fleece gloves and ear warmer/bandana type thingies. You will be set to go.
