I almost couldn't wake up this morning. I ran 4.70 miles then went to spin for 40 minutes. If you don't know much about spinning lemme splain it. It is the indoor equivalent of  outdoor road biking (Lance Armstrong style) can be very intense. Burns massive calories and builds long lean muscle. They say spinning helps a runner become stronger, faster, and helps the lungs be more capable of taking in more oxygen thus supplying the body with what it needs. The Saturday instructor is my fav. It's a wild crazy class- loads of fun.

Tomorrow it's me, my shoes and 10 miles. Nothing less.

I've only done spin class once. It was fun. I fell off my trainer once though.

I probably need to get on a bike more for cross training, but it hurts my butt way to bad. I guess that you have to build up to it? Good luck on the 10 miles tomorrow. I will be doing the same with some good speed work in between.

Nice job Lily! I actually went to spin a lot during the winter and I felt that I bulked up! I also started having Sciatic problems that I later learned was due to the sitting factor (when you actually due sit) and strain on your sciatic so since I stopped going, I have felt so much better. Just a warning if you have any issues with your sciatic. However, I would be a liar if I said I didn't miss it!! Those were fun morning and very intense workouts. I can't believe you ran 4.7 in addition. You are an animal! Nice job~

Whoa Kellie, so glad you commented. My sciatic has been bothering me lately. Maybe it's time to lay off the spinning for awhile for me!! I still like it though. But if it's going to hurt me,totally not worth it!

Out of curiosity, where did you feel like you bulked up?

Children around or not Lily, no one better be saying anything about my rear getting bigger!! :). Ha ha!! Actually it is getting bigger, but not due to spin, maybe it had something to do with eating a dozen cupcakes myself this weekend, WOW, I was out of control!! No, in all honesty, my legs started to bulk up and I noticed it in my clothes, etc. SO, we are done with that. I can not have any bulking up. I don't know if you knew Ali when she was lifting weights like crazy but we Lundell's don't establish lean muscle, we bulk and add to our already bulky bodies. That is why I need to be doing more yoga!! Anyone know of any good yoga places that do yoga locally from 6:00-7:00 in the morning?? That or a good yoga video??

I know what you are saying though. I can bulk up to if I am not careful....especially with the weight lifting. I can tell if I am have been lifting to much to often. I look a little manly :)
