All it takes is one guilt inducing holiday that tells you to make changes to get me back on the blog. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I bundled up and ran outside today. I didn't go out until about 10 so it wasn't too cold. I could have done without 2 layers of pants and 2 layers of sweaters. lol, can you tell I'm not an experienced winter runner.
I went really slow because a) the roads and sidewalks are slick in parts and b) because as you're all aware I haven't exercised in months. Yeah that's plural, MONTHS! It's gotten really hard to find time with the early long hours of my job and December was super busy and somedays I was working 10 + hours. But I have gained too many lbs, so I'm going to get back to the running/ P90X lifestyle.
I didn't want to put my splits because they're so embarrassing . I ran without stopping to 1.5 and then walked a little then ran to 2 and then from 2-3 it was brutal |

Well it's small but it's still a run or jog if you will. I tried to keep my pace up better this time so Burt wouldn't ridicule me for being so slow. I was still slow but I ran 2.5 without stopping. I'm going to run in the morning too. I ran tonight after work. I played around too long on the internet after I got home at 4:30 so it was pretty dark and cold out there but it felt good. I've decided if I was just in shape, I would like winter running way better than hot summer sweaty running. |

I ran 2 without stopping then mile 3was mostly running and a little walking and mile 4 was prob half and half. Not too bad though for not running consistently in months.
This could be the start of something good. |

Preggers is true! I'm having a little babe in September... I've been super sick so no running, walking, moving or really much of anything these last 6 or 7 weeks.
I remember sometimes when I was running I would be in pain and tired and I thought to myself I can't wait until I'm pregnant and I have a really good excuse not to do this everyday... I would trade running pain for throwing up any day of the week.
I'm actually really really excited for the day when I run again and have energy and just feel so exhausted but so great after running as long as I could :)
So you won't see me much more (like I've been on here much anyway) but hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll start feeling better and I can atleast get biking miles in or eliptical miles :) And can't wait for you all to meet the little babe-ster. |

It's not running mileage but it's mileage none the less. Last Saturday I took the 1hr glucose test and found out today that I didn't pass- big BUMMER! So I have to take the 3 hr test on Saturday. I'm turning a new leaf now because I really really don't want to do the whole gestational diabetes business. I'm going to eat super good this week and hopefully that will help my results on Saturday. And if it doesn't- oh well. I will continue to eat good and exercise for the next 11 weeks.
I just walked around the block- took my garmin just so I could know the mileage. It was wierd putting on my shoes and garmin and then not running. When I first got started I thought I feel good enough I could run but I didn't. I'm not so sure that would be the best way to start after 5 months of nothing. Sometimes I feel bad I haven't been running since the beginning but then I remember that I was throwing up 3-4 times a day until Mid may so it made working out quite impossible. once I started feeling better I still didn't feel up to working out. But now I feel like I don't have a choice and I know it will be good for me so hopefully I can continue to post atleast walking mileage. I don't have a gym pass anymore so walking will probably be it atleast until after the babester gets here. |
