I saw a physical therapist this morning and I'm very happy and hopeful that she'll be able to help me through this hip/pelvis/tailbone issue that I've been having ... forever, it seems. :o) She did a lot of stretching and tried to "release" muscles in my SI joint (where pelvis and sacrum meet). She tried to un-"stick" it, but it was too tight. So, she gave me 5 different stretches to do over the weekend and I'll go back again next week. She says it's probably been stuck since my last pregnancy ... and maybe longer. It's a very common problem, so I'm grateful that she knows just what to do. This is the same PT that my sister-in-law and husband both saw -- and they both really liked her. So, here's hoping!!! (Only bad thing is -- of course, she needs me to take another week off of running. Hopefully I can go cycling or something to keep up my cardio. The pounding of running, would be counterproductive to the un-sticking process.) |
