| On the treadmill - which was a crying shame because the weather was gorgeous! Oh well!

| I'm getting lazy in my blogging! I ran on Monday ... outside! It really is quite different when you've gotten used to running on the treadmill. Nice run, though. The uphill was harder than I remembered and the downhill ... easier. Haha. I didn't take my garmin, so I don't know my pace, but it's a route I know well so I knew it was 4 miles. |

Unofficial World Race Day (3.1 Miles) 00:28:20 | Slow miles | Fast miles | Total Distance | 1.00 | 3.10 | 4.10 |
| My friend, Annee, just moved to Korea with her husband in the Air Force. She wanted to race a half marathon with her sister in California, but obviously there were constraints; so she decided to run in Korea and invite anyone else to race on the same day as an unofficial World Race Day. So, I joined in. My training has been absolutely pathetic, so I could only pull out a 5K, but it's a PR - simply because I haven't done a 5K by myself and racing hard since I first started running over a year ago. My first mile was also a PR, though I announce that a little sheepishly since it was quite a downhill for the first half mile. So, here are my splits: 1 - 8:16 2 - 9:26 3 - 9:53 .1 - :44 It wasn't quite like a true race with the magic that comes with races; but it was fun and I really tried to give it my all.

| I HAD to run tonight! It's been a miserable week for running, but if I didn't run tonight then it would've been the first time since I began running that I fully skipped a full week (besides when I was out for injury last Spring). So, miraculous as it may seem, I got on the treadmill and actually ran!! :o) |

| I was only able to get in 2 miles until my little ones woke up from a nap. Oh well. We're potty training our 8 year old (with special needs) and 2 year old daughters this Christmas break. If anyone has any extra prayers and sympathy -we'll take 'em! :) It's actually going better than I expected. My 8 year old is doing pretty well and is willing to sit on the toilet and have success - when we're lucky. My 2 year old is doing GREAT! She wakes up in the morning dry, asks to sit on the toilet to go pee, and pooped in the toilet for the first time today (never mind she also had 2 pee accidents. Oh well ... we're close, though!) It's almost miraculous to think that at least one, maybe TWO of our 3 kids might be potty trained soon. Miraculous. I though I'd have 3 in diapers for-e-ver. :)

Dawn and I went hiking today. Since it wasn't really running, I'll just guesstimate a shorter distance. The wind was crazy though! There were gusts that made us have to lean really far forward just to keep going up the mountain. We decided to run downhill since we'd have the wind at our backs. Crazy wind!
