After shuffling around in pain from a pinched nerve on Saturday and Sunday, I finally made it to the chiropractor on Monday. I was feeling much better that day, but not good enough to run. So, today, I thought I would give it a try - a short, easy run. Well, 2 miles was too long. At 1-1/2 miles, my tailbone/pelvis started hurting and I ended up limping home the last 1/4 of a mile. And now I'm back to pinching that nerve. It's not that sciatic nerve; the chiropractor said it's the nerve right above that one. Either way, it's a real "pain"!!! It's not sore like a sore muscle; but if I move wrong, I get a terrible shooting pain that almost makes me fall. Needless to say, this is going to be a dismal week for running. I'm going to see the chiropractor again on Friday, and I've called my doctor to get a prescription for some Physical Therapy. |
